New sovereign data & AI platform development - Databaas
We're currently also building Databaas, our own sovereign data & AI
platform. It is built on open source tooling and runs on any EU cloud.
We want this platform to compete with Databricks and Snowflake, which
are not available on EU clouds, and we need you to take it to the next

Role overview:
In this role, you will partly build custom data & AI solutions for our
customers, and partly develop Databaas. In details, you will:
- Design and shape data and AI solutions that help solve societal problems
- Collaborate with a team of experienced data & AI specialists
- Work on a diverse set of projects, ranging from building data platforms to custom software solutions
- Help clients understand how data and AI can solve their problems and scale their business
- Be a key player in our growing, impact-driven organization
- Contribute to the development of Databaas: building features, improving the platform, and making it production-ready for customers
This role is for you if:
- You're passionate about using technology for positive change
- You've spent 5+ years working in the data and AI space
- You have programming experience with languages like SQL, Python or other.
- You have experience with tools like dbt, SQLMesh, Spark, Trino, or similar data stack components
- You have experience with PydanticAI, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI stack components.
- You are comfortable with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Scaleway, OVHcloud, Azure)
- You have experience working with Docker and Kubernetes, and understand CI/CD concepts
- You understand how to utilise coding agents in your work, without losing quality.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are able to lead projects
- You have experience and desire to work in a client facing role
- You are a good communicator and fluent in English
- You are willing to commute to our office in Utrecht and to client locations (in the Netherlands) a few times each week

- We work on projects from start to end. This often starts with a design sprint, then we build an MVP, and after that we take care of full scale implementation
- We work with the latest technologies and are always open to try new ideas and experiment
- We are a small team with a flat organisational structure, you will be working directly with the founders
- We always work in teams, lead by an experienced engineer. This keeps our quality high, and ensures that we can learn from each other.
- We encourage you to share your work and learnings by means of writing or (internal) demos
